Surrogacy for HIV Intended Parents
New Life Global Network is proud to provide the opportunity of being parents to HIV positive patients. We accept HIV positive intended parents in Mexico and in Cambodia. The procedure is very straightforward. Intended parent should send by email 6 months lab tests showing undetectable viral load in serum. In case the viral load is high, we cannot accept until at least three months treatment is done. After special treatment viral load will become satisfactory to be approved for the program.
After approval of the viral load in the test, parent can visit the clinic, where repeated test will be performed. If the results match the ones sent to us earlier, parent is allowed to leave semen to start sperm washing.
In both destinations, Mexico and Cambodia, sperm wash takes place in local IVF clinic. However, from Mexico the samples of washed sperm are sent to the US clinic for double assurance and US clinic approves that in the provided sample indeed there was not HIV virus detected. Getting the results from the US clinic may take between 2-3 weeks. Program preparations can be started while waiting for the results. Similarly from Cambodia the washed sperm samples are sent to Bangkok clinic and the approval of sample clearance is obtained from Bangkok clinic. The possibility of virus transmission with molecular based washed sperm is practically zero and there have been no evidence that virus was transmitted neither to the carrier mother nor to the baby.
The programs (with sperm washing) we provide to HIV-positive intended parents include:
- Surrogacy only
- Surrogacy + Egg Donation
- IVF for HIV negative partner + Egg Donation
- Surrogacy with frozen embryos
Please, be informed that the surrogacy package fees for HIV-positive patients differ from standard ones, as the procedure is performed in specially equipped and highly-skilled facility to manage HIV-positive patients.
